Fórum do Futuro, Porto 2016

The scenic device presented develops the theme Connections through the valorisation of the screen and the pulpit as primordial elements of connection and communication between speakers and audience. The formalisation of the proposal's large piece celebrates the projection screen as a portal, in line with a certain formal and conceptual universe of a "future" dating from the 1980s. The different versions of the piece that frame the screen, with alternating isometric perspectives throughout the six days of the Forum of the Future, create a dynamic visual connection with the audience, provoking a situation that confronts it with the subtleties of representation and perception.

Resulting from the collaborative connection between Friendly Fire (composed by architects Gonçalo Azevedo, Ivo Martins, Matilde Seabra, Pedro Baía, Pedro Barata Castro and Alexandra Areia) and Diogo Aguiar Studio, the scenography for Forum of the Future 2016 incorporates, on one hand, the raw imagery of the two-dimensional drawing of the AutoCAD program and, on the other hand, space-activating architectural forms.
